Links checking parameters
This function allows checking the catalogue links automatically and counting Google PR and Yandex CY ratings.
Before checking one should set parameters in the corresponding administrative section (see Parameters):
There are two methods of checking a link efficiency - by means of sockets or with the help of file_get_contents() function. The first method is preferable, as it allows setting timeout for a site and defining redirection via headers ("Location: "). The second method is recommended only only in case sockets handling is forbidden by the hosting provider.
Upon checking a backward link, "URL of a page, containing a backward link" field value is used. In case this field is empty, main link URL is used.
Backward link checking is performed only provided that the efficiency checking option is activized, because the page content is required.
Timeout for checking script is set with the help of set_time_limit() function. In case this function is forbidden by the hosting provider, one should reduce a quantity of checking results on a page.
The number of checking results on a page means the number of links in a batch, checked at a script call. Upon reaching the given number, checked page is refreshed and the script is performed anew.
A certain part of checking parameters is set by default according to values defined in the settings. Set the remaining parameters and press "Check": the system will request confirmation:
The results are displayed during the process. As a rule, the script execution time is limited, therefore after checking the required number of links the page is refreshed ans the script is executed once again, processing the remaining links:
To break the checking process, press "Back" button at the browser.
