"Editing categories" section
This section is intended for links categories modification.
Categories are formed in a tree-view structure. The root category is not displayed at the user interface and does not contain links. Categories located within the root are displayed at the main page and are considered to be the first level.
In case search-friendly links are used, one should define a path for categories. If the path is not set, a common link with parameters is generated for the category. mod_rewrite module support at the hosting provider's server is required for search engine friendly URLs.
Categories sorting allows ordering them according to your wish. By default, sorting is performed by a category name. If "categories sorting" parameter has a value "In the assigned order; then by name", than sorting is made first by a number in the field "Sorting", then by name. Therefore, the less "Sorting" value for this category is, the higher it will be in the list.
Note: Sorting is performed only at the user interface. In the administrative mode categories are ordered alphabetically.
"links" column holds a quantity of links in the given category and all its subcategories.
To create a category or a subcategory, one should click on 
icon
("Create a subcategory") near the parent category.
Enter a name of a category and search-friendly URL (if necessary), then indicate sorting order (by default 1000) and press "Save".
To edit a category one should click on 
("Edit") icon near the category.
The editing form is equal to the adding one:
To delete a catgory one should click on 
("Delete")icon near the category.
Press "Delete" to confirm a category deletion.
